Faith & Fellowship Youth Camp

Faith and Fellowship Youth Camp was established as a ministry of Open Bible Tabernacle in 1961. 2008 will be our 47th year. It is held at A.H. Stephens State Park in Crawfordville, Georgia or at Roosevelt State Park in Pine Mountain, Georgia. Faith & Fellowship Youth Camp is a wonderful place to spend a week during Summer Break. Youth Camp is the highlight of many young peoples' year. Each year lives are forever changed, new friends are met and a deeper walk with Christ is gained. Faith and Fellowship Youth Camp is designed to keep campers busy from the time they wake up until the time they go to sleep. A variety of activities are planned for the campers, and there are sports competitions in which campers can win trophies. Each year, the campers seem to rise to each challenge given them during the week.

"A Life Changing Experience" is how camp is always described by the campers at the end of the week. Each day and night the campers are taught God's word through classes and preaching of the word. 2008 is the 13th year that Rick Cooper from Indiana has been our speaker. We are excited that Rick will be joining us once again.

Each day at evening service we have a live worship team that truly ushers our young people into the presence of God through their voices and music of praise. It is followed by the preaching of the word by our guest speaker, Rick Cooper. Rick always has a "unique" way of preaching God’s word, and all who hear him are truly challenged and blessed.

Each camper is assigned a cabin with a counselor. There are usually 3 campers to every counselor and plenty of other staff members to make sure there is always an adult present for the campers.

All campers are served three wonderful well-balanced meals each day and are encouraged to eat as well as drink plenty of fluids during the day. There is also a "concession stand" that the campers can visit to purchase Cokes, water, candy, etc.

There is a competitive sports program the campers are involved in each day. It includes, badminton, ping pong, 40 yd. dash, ½ mile run for juniors, 1 mile run for seniors, horseshoes, softball throw, sit-ups, push-ups, baseball for all ages. There is a trophy for each 1st place winner of these sports, ribbons for 2nd & 3rd places. We also give two "Sportsmanship" Medals to our campers who show joy in the game and cheer on the other campers.

Our biggest trophy given is for the Bible Quiz. Each year when our theme is revealed, the chapter in the Bible that relates to it becomes know to all campers. They have time during the summer before camp to study every scripture in that chapter. There is written quiz and a pop-up quiz. It is always quite competitive.

There are points given for each place they take in each sport. The Bible Quiz does earn the most points of any competition. They are all tallied up and the camper with the most points, not necessary the 1st place in each sport, will get a trophy for Camp Champ.

There is also awarded Mr. & Mrs. Faith & Fellowship. This is nominated by counselors and voted on by campers. Winners are announced at the banquet and it is always a big event.

All competition is separated by girls or boys and by junior or senior camper. Junior campers are ages 9 - 12 years. Senior campers are ages 12 - 18 years. At age 12 the campers can decide which section to camp under. This makes the competition more equal and enjoyable for all campers. It's not about winning, it's about enjoying the game and fellowship with other campers.

A Camp Nurse is provided to take care of the bumps and bruises that might happen during the week. Many of the staff members are certified in Adult & Pediatric CPR and First Aid.

The buses leave from Open Bible Tabernacle on Monday of camp week and return on Saturday. There is a $5.00 fee to ride the bus to and from camp. The bus will stop on the way to and from camp to each at McDonald's, Wendy's, etc. for the children to eat. Money for the meals should be given to your child.
The cost is $150.00 which is Non-refundable.

Please prayerfully consider sending your child to Faith and Fellowship Youth Camp.
